Bowtie Diary beauty product of the month: Pistachio hair oil

October 31, 2013

Every autumn and winter I have the same problem with my hair- ultimate dryness. Believe me, I've tried all kinds of things to fight it. I've used plain conditioner, hair masks, sprays and serums, but now it seems that I've found a product that really does the job. I might be a little late to the party, but hair oil, guys!
I got this pistachio oil from a goodiebag at a bloggers' event in September and I've been using it ever since. After blow drying my hair, I just put a few drops in my palms and spread it over my hair. Silkiness guaranteed! If your hair is in desperate need of a boost of life, then be sure to try some oil, it'll work miracles.

New Yorker Store Opening

October 29, 2013

Last Friday evening was a pretty perfect one in my books. I was invited to the VIP preopening of Postimaja New Yorker along with other bloggers and journalists. We got to see and feel the new collection, munch on delicious snacks and macaroons and of course, pose for lots of pictures. Not to mention the uber fun photobooth and girlie chats with my blogger friends.
In addition to 8 silly photobooth pictures I also took home an amazing winter jacket, which I'm sure you'll see on the blog once winter comes, because it is seriously the warmest and softest thing I've ever worn.
Thank you New Yorker for inviting me and thank you Evamaria, Sandra and Ingel for being such awesome company. Check out their blogs from more pics and my FB page to see those photobooth lols.

Veetsin eelmise reede enda hindamisskaala järgi päris ideaalselt. Koos teiste blogijate ja ajakirjanikega uudistasime uut Postimaja New Yorkerit ametliku avamise eelõhtul.

Shot At the Night

The Killers- Shot At the Night

That song by The Killers has been my life soundtrack for the past days. I've been listening to it non-stop, immersed in the butterflies it gives me. It's just that perfect late night song, with the cutest video that could easily be a romantic comedy.
The third set of photos I took with Anete Palmik a few weeks ago also has that nightlife-y vibe. Even more, a morning after vibe. Still wearing the dress and heels from last night, but in that hazy mood of trying to put the whole picture together, remembering the most amazing bits and the coolest songs and in search of a good coffee.

See The Killersi lugu on viimastel päevadel minu elu soundtrack olnud.

Darkness, deepness

October 22, 2013

It doesn't happen every day than an Estonian blogger and young photographer decide to get together and shoot a few pictures, so Anete and I decided to make the most of our time together. The first bit is [here], if you've been spending your time doing something else than reading this blog and haven't seen them yet. My second set of photos taken with the talented Anete Palmik is before your eyes now.
We found this pathway surrounded by big trees full of colourful leaves and equally as many autumnal leaves on the ground. To contrast the overly colourful setting, my outfit was all black- a simple shift dress with a sheer blouse underneath, black heels. That's all.
It all came together with a slight "sixties doll in a horrormovie" vibe, but I like it when pictures turn out quite unexpected and different from what you originally thought.

My model off duty look with Anete Palmik

October 17, 2013

Foals- Spanish Sahara

Last week I met up with the lovely Anete, whom I met last month at the bloggers' event. Maybe you've seen her gorgeous designs or photography all over the interwebs and if you've not, then check her creativity out here.
I had the pleasure of doing an autumnal shoot with the talented girl and here is the first set we did. It's kind of my model-off-duty look (if I actually were one), just throwing on jeans, my new Persunmall double-collared shirt and the leather jacket with a pair of heels before dashing out. I also brought a few other outfits with me, changing in between locations, so stay tuned for more of me, trying to stare deep into the camera with a slight pout, like I'm Cara D or Karmen Pedaru.

Eelmisel nädalal sain Tartus kokku imetoreda Anetega, kellega ma tutvusin eelmisel kuul Oh So Retros blogijate üritusel.

I wear my lace on my sleeve

October 09, 2013

You know how I love basics, but to me, every basic is even better, when it has a little twist. And those intricate lace sleeves on this seemingly plain Oasap sweatshirt are just that twist. Finally, a piece of clothing that I won't have to DIY to pimp it a bit.
I went to visit my best friend in Viljandi and we spent the prettiest autumn day exploring the castle ruins and the cafes and I'm already looking forward to good times spent with this lovely little number (and my next visit to Viljandi).

Accidental bargain hunt

October 04, 2013

I don't always post about my shopping, but when I do, it's because I want to brag about the bargain. Last weekend, I had some time until my bus, so I popped in to Seppälä. Turned out, they had a huge sale and all that's pictured below was under 15 euros. In total. That's right- two pairs of shoes, the prettiest headband and a metallic clutch for the price of 5 lattes.

Kokku. Kaks paari kingi, imeilus peavõru ja metalne kott 5 kohvi hinna eest.
