No strings attached

June 22, 2011

I went to my friends' graduation yesterday. It's funny how such a seemingly happy day can actually be quite sad. I mean, they won't be at school next year with me and I'll just have to accept that. But the event itself was nice, everyone looked just perfect and got lots of flowers. And even the former president was there!
A song that went with my mood yesterday:
Marina and the Diamonds- Shampain

On other news, I've been chosen to be a part of the IOU project. It's a brand of clothes that is environmentally friendly and sells clothes with a story, not just mass-production. When I was at Nordic Look, it really got me thinking about the origin of clothes. When I'm able to buy a dress for 5€ at a sale, then it means, the store still gets profit for that and the garment is ridiculously cheap. All the workers in Asia have to suffer, because big brands just want to make a profit.
Take a moment to check out IOU :)

selfmade chiffon blouse, thrifted skirt, flower from expressions, rylko shoes that I wore at my graduation last year, vintage clutch from my mom
