Postcards From Antwerp (And A New Vlog!)

October 09, 2015

Antwerp is a ridiculously gorgeous city and those 15 euro bus tickets were the best thing I've spent money on during my time in Utrecht. Coming from the far away Nordic land of Estonia, I can't really wrap my head around how simple it is to go from one country to another and from one picture-perfect city to another here in Central Europe. (*puts on her best country girl face*)
As a tourist destination, I totally recommend Antwerp over Brussels, if you ever feel like going to Belgium. I was in Brussels this May and the number one thing I can remember is how boring it was (and not only because of the near-traumatising visit to the European Parliament museum). Since you can get all the chocolate, waffles, beer and fries in Antwerp too, then nothing happens if you skip Brussels. I'm certainly planning to go back to Antwerp some time during the next four month, because there was so many little cafes and even a fashion museum that I didn't find time for. Brussels only has the Parliament.
I leave you know with three little postcards and an Estonian vlog, but do come back soon for an Antwerpian outfit post, because the language of (outfit) pictures is universal!

Antwerpen on hingematvalt ilus linn ja need 15eurosed bussipiletid on vist kõige paremad asjad, millele ma siin Utrechtis oldud aja jooksul raha olen kulutanud.
Brüsselis on ainult parlament.

  2. Hahaha, the bit about the near-traumatizing visit to the European parliament museum got me - I really didn't know that Brussels only have a Parliament for a touristy visit! How cool it is to learn something new, being that I'm so far away in South East Asia. Antwerp sounds like a fun place, I do love little cafes as I'm such a coffee maniac, and I'm pretty sure a fashion museum beats a parliamentary one any day :D
