I know, I know, September's here, which means that autumn's here too and I'm here sharing those sunny and summery pictures with you. I have a few posts in store from my time in Estonia, so Bowtie Diary doesn't really portray my actual life right now, but at least it's not complete silence (or pictures of pretty buildings) on here. 

So those were taken a few weeks ago in Pärnu and I put the outfit together only because of the shoes. The nautical theme and the sailing club is nice and all, but I mean, look at the shoes! They sparkle from every angle and surprisingly, are actually really comfortable summer sandals, which somehow makes a pair of sequined shoes really practical. I saw them at the sales counter at Monton for only six euros and since this girl can't resist any form of sequins, I bought them. And I wore them surprisingly much during my last weeks in Estonia. Which makes me wonder if I should've got the rose gold pair too...

Anyway, for the sake of truthfulness, I'm wearing the same outfit today, with little modifications due to the weather. So coat on, hat on and sandals replaced by loafers. Since Utrecht is just a half an hour's ride away from Amsterdam and I have no classes on Wednesdays, then I'm going there for a day and playing a complete tourist. I'm sure that you're going to get a few postcards (Via blogpost, of course! Although I wish I could mail a card to each and every one of you!) from my trip!

Tean, tean, september on käes, mis tähendab, et sügis on käes ja mina jagan siin teiega täiesti suviseid pilte. Eestis olles tegin mõned blogipildid ette, seega Bowtie Diary ei peegelda praegu mu päriselu, aga vähemalt ei ole blogis ka täielik vaikus (või ainult pildid ilusatest majadest).

Need mereteemalised pildid tegime Pärnu jahtklubis paar nädalat tagasi ja tunnistan, et panin selle riietuse kokku ainult kingade pärast. Kogu mereteema on lahe ja nii, aga vaadake neid kingi! Need sädelevad pea igast küljest ja on imekombel ka väga mugavad, mis teeb ühe sädeleva kingapaari omamoodi praktiliseks. Nägin neid Montoni allahindlusriiulil ainult kuue euro eest (nüüd on juba viie peal) ja kuna ma ei suuda vastu panna mitte mingis vormis sädelusele, siis ostsin kingakesed ära. Endalegi üllatuseks kandsin neid suve lõpus päris palju, mis paneb mõtlema, et äkki oleksin pidanud roosakaskuldse paari ka ära ostma...

Igatahes, igasuguse tõepärasuse huvides kannan täna sama riietust, lihtsalt väikeste lisandustega, et ikkagi ilmaga ühtida. Mantel selga, müts pähe ja sandaalide asemel lihtsalt kingad. Kuna Utrecht on ainult pooletunnise rongisõidu kaugusel Amsterdamist ja mul ei ole kolmapäeviti ühtegi koolitundi, siis mõtlesin täna sinna minna ja terve päeva korralikult turisti mängida. Kindlasti saate mu päevareisilt mõned postkaardid (Ikkagi blogipostituse kaudu, kuigi väga tore oleks teile kõigile päriskaart saata!).

Earth Tones

I've had this outfit in my head for about half a year, from when I binge-bought this Seventies-inspired jumpsuit from H&M for only 7 euros, packed it in my Barcelona suitcase and almost froze while wearing it in the Mediterranean winter. Summer's here, so it means I can bring out the jumpsuit in its full glory and how it's meant to be worn, bare legs and all. I even went a bit bold with the patterns and mixed this printed jumpsuit with leopard-print flats. To me, this outfit is all about the earth tones and those browns and oranges suit together so well!

Which is why, when Jord contacted me to style one of their wood watches, I instantly decided to pair the cherry-toned Ely watch with this outfit. What better to match an earthly outfit than a wristwatch that's carefully handmade of real wood? It even smells like wood too! I was sniffing my wrist like a weirdo the whole day, but the smell of fresh wood reminded me of classic Estonian souvenir shops and calm days on the islands so much that I just couldn't resist. I might have even greeted friends with a little "Smell my watch, isn't it nice?" on that day...

See komplekt on mu peas olnud umbes pool aastat, alates sellest kui ma selle emotsioonostuna seitsme euro eest H&Mist ostsin, Barcelona kohvrisse pakkisin ja siis Vahemere-talves sellega peaaegu ära külmusin. Nüüd on aga suvi vist täie rauaga kohale jõudnud ja saan selle toreda pükstüki kogu oma hiilguses teie ette tuua, paljaste säärtega ja puha. Ma isegi pisut vallatlesin nende mustritega ja panin kirju pükskostüümi juurde veel leopardimustrilised kingad. Üleüldse on kogu see komplekt väga maalähedastes toonides, mulle tundub, et need pruunid ja oranžid sobivad omavahel väga hästi. 

Kui nüüd maa värvidest rääkida, siis hüppas just see komplekt mulle pähe, kui USA firma Jord palus mul valida ühe nende puukelladest ja selle ümber isikupärane riietus ehitada. Mis sobiks paremini ühe maalähedastes värvides riietusega, kui mitte päris puust tehtud kell? Kusjuures, see kell isegi lõhnab nagu puu! Terve päeva nuusutasin nagu mingi veidrik oma rannet ja mõtlesin suveniiripoodidest ja Saaremaa kadakatest. Paar korda isegi tervitasin sõpru nii, et pistsin kella neile nina alla ja siis ütlesin, et nad seda nuusutaksid, ise põlevate silmadega nendegi imestunud reaktsiooni ootama jäädes.

Beach Dates and Dresses

It seems that after a whole month (and more!) of waiting, summer has finally arrived to my corner of the world! So last weekend, when my boyfriend and I visited his home town, which is also the summer capital of Estonia, I insisted on heading to the beach just to feel the sand under my feet and dip my toes in the sea. And I have definite beach plans for this weekend too, after all, my new bikini needs to be tested and paraded in!

For our little beach date I decided to wear my new boho dress from Style Moi. It required a slip underneath, but other than that, it's the perfect summer piece for carefree days at the beach. Also, a perfect festival dress - it would look pretty rad with an army green parka and a pair of worn-in ankle boots, plus the mandatory flower crown. Those little lace hems and the cool cut-out shoulders are everything I could wish for this summer.

Tundub, et peale terve kuu pikkust ootamist on suvi lõpuks ka meie maailmanurgakesse jõudnud! Eelmisel nädalavahetusel käisimegi Mirko kodulinnas Pärnus ja võtsime esimesed suveilmad sobivalt suvepealinnas vastu. Ma peaaegu nõudsin, et me kasvõi korraks randa ka läheksime, lihtsalt selleks, et saaksin taldade all rannaliiva tunda ja varbad merevette pista. Selleks nädalavahetuseks on mul ka ainult rannaliivaga seotud plaanid, sest uued bikiinid peab ju sisse kandma ja nendega pisut poosetama ka! 

Meie väikeseks rannakohtinguks valisin selga oma uue hipiliku (kuidas üldse "boho" eesti keelde tõlkida?) kleidi netipoest Style Moi. Pidin sinna küll aluskleidi alla panema, et mitte kogu Pärnule oma aluspesu välgutada, aga kui see väike asi välja jätta, on tegu ühe imetoreda rannakleidiga. Loomulikult sobiks see hästi ka festivalipõldudele - näiteks tumerohelise parka-stiilis jaki ja korralikult kantud poolsaabastega, lisaks muidugi kohustuslik lillepärg. See jutt tuletab meelde, et Positivuseni on jäänud ainult kaks nädalat! 

Nautige ilma, neid päikselisi pilte ja ärge unustage õue minna, et päikese käes vajalikku D-vitamiini ammutada!

Scandinavian cool

You know, how in all the Swedish-Danish streetstyle blogs people seem to wear the simplest, most basic clothes and still look like the coolest things on Earth? Well, when I saw this dress on the rack for 8 euros, that was the first thing that came to my mind. The second was, whether I'm cool enough to pull it off. After considering buying it, actually buying it and wearing it for two days, I'm sure that I am. 

The dress is plain enough to keep all the attention on my new backpack, which I just can't seem to not take everywhere with me, but more on that in my next post. (Yes, I'm that sneaky.) Of course, I couldn't go full-normcore with the dress and wore my silver brogues too. These shoes keep bringing me back to this cool location. Remember April? 

Teate küll, kuidas kõikides Rootsi ja Taani tänavamoe blogides inimesed kannavad maailma kõige tavalisemaid riideid, aga näevad ikka välja nagu kõige lahedamad olevused maailmas? Kui seda kleiti 8 euro eest müügis nägin, tulid just need lõpmatud pildid mulle silme ette. Järgmine mõte oli, kas ma olen sama lahe ja suudan selle kleidi välja kanda. Pärast arutlemist ja ostmist ja kaht päeva kandmist, tundub, et vist olen jah.

Kleit on täpselt nii lihtne, et kogu tähelepanu säilib mu uuel seljakotil, mis käib minuga viimasel ajal igal pool kaasas, aga sellest räägin pikemalt oma järgmises postituses. (Mhm, selline salapärane olengi.) Päris üleni normcore ei tahtnud ma ka ikka olla ja panin väikese põnevuse säilitamiseks oma hõbedased kingakesed jalga. Need ikka viivad mind kogu aeg sinna lahedasse nurgakesse tagasi. Aprilli mäletate?

A new life

I'm giving my kimono a second life outside of festival territory. I realised that in addition to floral crowns, dainty dresses and Bastille, it also looks great with my favourite basics and the excitement of an approaching storm. The colours and blossoms and fringe give so much extra to an otherwise plain (or perfect?) outfit. I love how the wind made the delicate chiffon dance and play, while there was some pretty definite thunder on the background. A moment of opposites. 

Annan oma kimonole teise elu, väljaspool festivaliala. Avastasin, et lisaks lillekroonidele, armsatele kleitidele ja Bastille'le sobib see imehästi ka minu lemmikasjade ja läheneva tormi energilise õhkkonnaga. Kimono värvid, mustrid ja narmad annavad muidu nii tavalisele (ideaalsele?) komplektile mõnusalt särtsu juurde. Ja mulle nii meeldib, kuidas tuul paneb selle õhulise materjali tantsima ja lendlema, samal ajal kui taustal käivad valjud kõuekõmakad. Mõnus vastandeid täis hetk.

Pinstripe pier

I've been enjoying a little "summer vacay" at Pärnu, celebrating midsummer day and generally doing nothing besides hanging out with the boyfriend and taking in the fact that there's no schoolwork. Good times!

These pinstripe trousers might be a bit too office-y and formal for a city like Pärnu (summer capital, resort-town, overall chill-out vibe), but they're too soft and nice not to be worn with those questionable temperatures we have now. I picked them up a few weeks ago at the H&M sale section with autumn days at school in mind, but what the hell, I've been given the perfect opportunity to wear them now! We took the pics on the boardwalk, so a navy-vibe is quite evident, no? 

Viimased paar päeva olen olnud Pärnus "suvepuhkusel". Tähistasin jaanipäeva, aga enamjaolt pole nagu midagi kasulikku teinud, lebotame peikaga niisama ja naudime seda, et mingeid koolitöid pole segamas. Hea elu!

Need triibulised püksid tundusid Pärnu jaoks pisut liiga kontorilikud ja kergelt pidulikud, sest see on ikkagi suvitus-ja kuurortlinn, aga need on nii mõnusad ja pehmed, et selle imeliku ilmaga lihtsalt peab jalga panema. Leidsin need H&M'i allahindlusestangelt vaid 10 euro eest, mõeldes küll külmadele sügisilmadele, aga kui mul on juba praegu võimalus neid kanda, siis miks mitte! Tegime pildid jõe ääres promenaadil ja see andis neile veel sellise mereteemalise hõngu ka, ei?

Not at Coachella

I'm terribly sorry for the silence on the blog. Don't worry, I haven't disappeared under a rock or dramatically fled to another country. I've actually been under a heavy load of schoolwork and gone to Pärnu for the weekend. Being in the summer capital is ever-so-teasing, because the weather actually feels like summer, tourists take over the streets and daily ice creams are a must, but in the back of my head there's still the shadow of school on Monday. 

All that didn't stop me from dressing like it's the middle of summer or that I actually want to be at Coachella (I do, though), floral crown and everything. Also, how cool is that dress? I got it from Forever 21, while in Dublin, mostly because of the zip halfway through the dress. My friends thought it's ridiculously tacky, but to me, it's has the perfect 90s aura. 

Vabandan selle pika vaikuse pärast blogis. Siiski pole vaja muretseda, ma pole kivi alla kadunud või dramaatiliselt teise riiki põgenenud. Olen hoopis koolitöö alla mattunud ja põgenesin nädalavahetuseks Pärnusse. Suvepealinnas olemine on tõeliselt mõnus, aga samas nii õrritav. Ilm on täiesti suvine, turistid on linnatänavad juba üle võtnud ja igapäevane jäätis on kohustuslik, aga kuskil kuklas on ikka meeles, et esmaspäeval peab ju kooli minema. 

Siiski riietusin nii nagu oleks südasuvi või ma tahaksin iga hinna eest Coachellal olla (tahangi tegelikult), lilled juustes ja puha. Selle ägeda kleidi sain Dublinist Forever 21-st ning suurim meelitaja oli minu jaoks see lukk keset kleiti. Sõbrad küll arvasid, et see on tobe, aga mulle meeldib see kerge 90ndate aura, mille see kleidile annab.
