Bittersweet

September 09, 2015

This is easily one of the most picturesque places in Estonia that I've ever been to. Having visited Toila park back in spring with my dad, I definitely wanted to go back during our little Tour de Estonia roadtrip and see this stunning seaside garden in full bloom. The terraced garden was actually once accompanied by a manor house, which the local farmers gifted to Estonia's first president to be his summer residence. He enjoyed his days there, going for long walks on the other side of the meandering valley to enjoy his coffee (and country governing thoughts) with a view to the Gulf of Finland. Sadly, the manor house was first burnt and then bombed to ruins during the Second World War, but the stunning garden still lies there.
Of course, I matched my outfit of the day to my most anticipated travel destination and dressed like a late summer's flower myself. This skirt has actually proved to be quite a wearable piece in my wardrobe and I strongly deliberated taking it here to The Netherlands with me. I usually pair it with neutral tops, as this time (and occasionally with matching surroundings), and even though I didn't spend my day driving in those shoes, I just wanted to flaunt those pink heels once more, even if just for blog pictures.
I have one more outfit from Estonia to show you and then it's all Dutch here on the blog! I hope you enjoy your week and get to wear those floral skirts for one last time, before autumn fully hits. After all, the flowers might cure the bittersweet feeling of yet another summer passing?

See on kindlasti üks kõige ilusamaid kohti Eestis, kus ma käinud olen.

    1. Thanks! To me the key item in this outfit was the skirt, but turns out that it's actually the shoes. :D

  5. Thanks! Sadly everything in this outfit is either sold out or last season, but I'm sure you can find similar things in the shops ;)

  6. I love the skirt. I wear these things all year round, there's no need to pack away the florals at any time of the year. Stock up on tights and you can make the most of the garment

    1. Thanks! I know that layering is an option, but florals seem so wrong in winter somehow.

Ma kannan igal suvel paar korda ainult ja kusjuures, viimase korraga tuli üks kontsaplekk lihtsalt ära.
      Aitäh :)
