When Style Moi asked me to put together a New Year's wishlist, I was quite happy actually. When the wallet isn't really thick enough to buy a whole new wardrobe, some good old new-age window-shopping comes in handy. And so it happened that in this not-so-winter-wonderland going on outside, I started to dream of blossoming trees in spring and equally nice skirts to twirl around in, summer festivals in rad T-shirts and ethereal dresses, the perfect date outfits for numerous picnics... And Ryan Gosling.

Kui Style Moi palus mul kokku panna nimekiri asjadest, mida ma uuel aastal osta tahaksin, olin päris rõõmus. Kui pärast jõule pole rahakott enam nii paks, et saaks endale uhiuut garderoobi lubada, siis tuleb appi vana hea kaasaegne window-shopping. Juhtuski siis nii, et äkitselt unistasin kevadistest pungadest ja õienuppudest ja sama ilusatest keerlevatest seelikutest, suvistest festivalidest imeilusates kleitides ja vägevates T-särkides ja lihtsatest kohtingukleitidest lõputute piknike jaoks. Magic forest

For the past few days it's been freezing, but it's also been very beautiful. These pictures were taken yesterday, when the frosty trees in the park looked like an entrance to a magical forest. Today, it's also sunny, so the frost is like a natural glittery sequined backdrop to life. Can't complain.

I also can't complain about the cold. With only a few wears, this new coat of mine from Style Moi has proved to be a staple for this winter. Firstly, it has a bit of colour, because anything other than black is considered colourful winter dressing already. Secondly, the boyfriend fit is cool. But most of all I'm genuinely surprised how warm it is. Usually the stuff that comes from Asian online stores is not meant for the Nordic climate, but with a trusty sweater underneath, this coat made it nicely!

Viimastel päevadel on olnud krõbekülm, aga samas ka tõeliselt ilus. Need pildid on tehtud eile, kui härmatanud puud muutsid Emajõe-äärse pargi nagu mingiks võlumetsa sissepääsuks. Täna, kui päike ka paistab, on härmatisest saanud hoopis sädelev taust igapäevaelule. Siin ei ole millegi üle kurta!

Isegi külma üle ei kurda. Juba mõne kandmiskorraga on minu uus Style Moist saadud mantel tõestanud, et jääb minuga terveks talveks. Esiteks on see pisut värviline, sest noh, kõik mis pole must, on talveriiete mõttes värviline. Teiseks on see lahedalt suure lõikega. Aga mis peamine, ma olen tõepoolest üllatunud, kui soe see on. Tavaliselt Aasia netipoodidest tellitud asjad ei ole Põhjamaade kliima jaoks tehtud, aga kui panin mantli alla ühe (isegi mitte liiga paksu) kampsuni, sai ta täitsa kenasti hakkama!

Festive spirit

It's the first day of December and I'm already as anti-Grinch as I can be. Room decorated with Christmas lights, scented candles burning and eating gingerbread cookies. To top it all, last week I received a package from Style Moi that had the most perfect festive accessory in it - that filigree reindeer necklace. It's so incredibly delicate and pretty that I might just wear it every day until Christmas. Plus it goes perfectly with my favourite collared shirt, probably all other collared shirts and my sweaters and T-shirts... Oh, and it's under $10!

I thought it proper to give it a separate post to shine in all its glory, alongside some pretty frosty trees. Full outfit with another Style Moi goodie coming tomorrow!

Täna on alles detsembri esimene päev ja ma olen juba nii suures jõulumeeleolus, kui olla saab. Tuba on tuledega kaunistatud, kaneelilõhnalised küünlad põlevad ja aasta esimesed piparkoogid on ka söödud. Kõigele lisaks sain eelmisel nädalal veebipoest Style Moi paki, milles oli kõige ideaalsem jõuluaegne ehe üldse - see õrn põhjapõdraga kaelakee. See on nii ilus, et võib juhtuda, et ma kannan seda igal päeval kuni lõpuks jõulud käes on. Lisaks sobib see nagu valatult mu lemmikpluusiga, ilmselt ka kõikide teiste kraega pluusidega, kampsunitega, T-särkidega... Aa, ja see maksis vähem kui 10 dollarit (umbes 7 eurot või nii)!

The inevitable fall look

Arctic Monkeys - Knee Socks

The inspiration folder in my computer probably has more than 20 street style looks with over-the-knee socks. I've loved that preppy accessory since the first season of Gossip Girl and that was when I wasn't even in high school. Now I found the perfect pair of knee-highs and couldn't resist buying them.

But am I too old for the preppy schoolgirl look? Should I get a black pair without the bowties too? Is it time for me to finally embrace my favourite street style look and put those 20 inspirational pictures to good use? 

Minu arvuti inspiratsioonikaustas on ilmselt üle kahekümne tänavastiili pildi, kus lahedad naised üle maailma kannavad üle põlve ulatuvaid põlvikuid. Mulle on need meeldinud juba sellest ajast, kui "Gossip Girl" algas ja siis ma ei käinud isegi gümnaasiumis. Nüüd lõpuks leidsin täpselt õiged põlvikud ja pidin need kohe Kaubamajast ära ostma. 

Aga kas ma olen sellise tutipäevaliku riietuse jaoks juba liiga vana? Kas ma peaksin ostma ka mustad ilma lipsudeta põlvikud? Kas on aeg, et ma lõpuks võtan omaks selle vana lemmikstiili ja kasutan neid 20 pilti otstarbekalt?
