My graduation day

July 04, 2013

I've already mentioned it a few times in a few posts, but this is finally the official one. I graduated from high school on the 20th of June. One big stage of my life is over and I'm not really sure if I'm happy or sad. I guess it hasn't properly sunk in yet and this summer seems like any previous one, with the slight difference that I won't be attending my dear old school in autumn, but instead going to university and starting a whole new period of life.
As for my dress (the important part, obviously!), it's vintage. But not just from a random vintage store, but it used to belong to my grandmother, made for her by her mother when she was about my age. I suddenly remembered about the dress one day and after trying it on and seeing that it fit like it was made for me, I couldn't imagine not wearing it to my graduation. Paired with a few pretty necklaces, cute kitten heels and a lovely 60s-inspired hair-do, I felt like a princess.
In the euphoria of the big day and being surrounded my the numerous congratulators (and maybe because of a slight buzz from the sparkling wine) I completely forgot to take proper photos of my dress and the whole outfit. Instead, we took lots of cute pictures with friends, so instead of one dressed up girl, you have five! I hope you enjoy the snaps and are ready to embark on a whole new journey with me!
