My first styling job!

July 03, 2014

Maybe you remember me talking about my first styling work I did for Estonian design store Namarie. Well, I have the pictures now and I love how they turned out! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you've already seen some of them, but I decided to share some of my favourites.
I loved the whole experience from start to beginning and I can definitely see myself doing styling work in the future. Of course, our them was amazing too and we all seemed to clique. And had lots of fun, maybe too much even for normal pictures.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little project of mine.

Baltika F/W collections

August 21, 2013

As I mentioned a few posts back, I was invited to view Baltika Group's fall/winter collections and what a marvellous night it was! It was also their jubilee celebration, so everything was double the beauty, glamour and luxury. Of course the venue itself was amazing- a usual parking house by day, a fabulous runway by night.
I was staring at the runway in absolute awe all evening. My big favourite was Baltman, the brand that never ceases to amaze me with spectacular styling and limitless sartorial style. If I could, I'd dress every man in Baltman, honestly. As for womenswear, I would like everything from Monton to hang in my closet, please!
Enjoy the beautiful pictures that my friend Grete gladly took and be inspired by the best of Estonian fashion! And if you like what you're seeing, check out the video on Baltika's Facebook page here!

Nagu mõni postitus tagasi sai mainitud, olin kutsutud Baltika sügistalviste kollektsioonide esitlustele ja veetsin ühe maagilise õhtu Eesti juhtivate moebrändide juublit tähistades. Üritus toimus Lutheri kvartali parkimismajas, mis üheks õhtuks muutus võluvalt valgusküllaseks moelavaks.
Istusin terve õhtupooliku peaaegu suu lahti, totra naeratusega, vaadates hämmastunult minu ette ilmuvaid imeilusaid riideid.

Monton
Fun prints, pretty colours and cool details all made the perfect fall wardrobe. And I think that I saw my new winter coat on the runway...

 Mosaic
Classic beauty with Slavic roots for women, all very modern-day Anna Karenina. As for men, there's the fail safe classics that always work!

Baltman
Men, it's ALL in the details. And all about having fun. If you have a cottage in Scotland and a penthouse in London, you'll definitely love the whole collection. If you are not a character from MIC, the clothes are still for you.

 Bastion
Simply timeless elegance, but every single thing comes with a twist. Or a ruffle or a pretty print. Either way, if you go shopping with mom, you'll both find something to love.

Defined by mystery, luxury and power, Ivo Nikkolo empowers women in its own special way.

Baltika spring/summer 2013 collections

February 03, 2013

I spent last Wednesday at the Baltika headquarters, where I was kindly invited by Ivo Nikkolo to have a first look on all of Baltika's five brands' new collection. It was my first real experience as a fashion blogger, to sit in the crowd and patiently wait for the next outfits to come out on the catwalk. The night was amazing, well-organized and so full of gorgeous eye-candy. Seeing these wonderful collections in the middle of winter gave us all hope, that somewhere, in the bright future, there's spring waiting for us.
Nende kollektsioonide nägemine keset pimedat talve andis vist meile kõigile lootust, et kuskil kaugel on kevad ootamas.

The first one to show was Monton, which is probably Baltika's most famous brand, having shops also in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. I must say that the first pieces to appear on the catwalk already left me speechless. The whole collection was oh-so-feminine, with a big inspiration from the sixties. Every time that I walk into a Monton store I secretly wish that I could buy everything they have on sale and this time, seeing the new season's pieces, I wished for the same thing. And yes, it just happened that three of my favourite outfits were on the same model..

Bastion is a brand whose target group are the career-oriented and powerful women and this time, they took real-life inspiration from some of Estonia's most influential women and asked them to be models for their show. I loved the idea and of course I really liked the clothes too. I was positively surprised at how fun the clothes were, the safari-vibed fabrics really stole my heart.

Mosaic also kept things very fun and colourful, which is the only way to go in summer. The florals were very beautifully mixed with classic pieces. What I liked most about their collection, were the bags- neutral-coloured with a neon trim- so chic! The masculine part of the collection was also very relaxed and casual, but very put-together at the same time. I love a bit of colour in menswear and that's exactly what Mosaic did.

I had already seen Ivo Nikkolo's collection, but it looked completely different on the catwalk! It really showed versatility at its best. Again- what a difference the right accessory can make, just look at the bag, necklace or the cool belts! And that structured pair of pink trousers really needs to find its way to my wardrobe, best, if accompanied by that blue blazer!

I was so impressed with Baltman's collection, there's definitely a very respectable menswear designer on the Estonian fashion scene. The suits were all so daring, but kind of relaxed at the same time. The plaid was all very Sheldon-Cooper-inspired and I absolutely loved it. If only there were more men who would want to wear such colourful and attention-grabbing clothes in my little part of the world..
Baltmani kollektsioon jättis mulle vist suurima mulje, Eesti moemaastikul on kindlalt kanda kinnitanud üks väga hea meestemoe disainer.

I hope you enjoyed this recap of my first ever real fashion show experience. I really want to thank the Ivo Nikkolo team for inviting me.
Loodetavasti teile meeldis see kokkuvõte minu esimesest päris-moeshow kogemusest. Siinkohal tahaksin tänada Ivo Nikkolo tiimi, et nad mind sellisele toredale õhtule kutsusid.

My school's annual fashion show

January 27, 2013

Friday was a big day at my school, because it was the day for our annual fashion show! I was lucky enough to take part as a model for my friend's amazing collection. We walked to the beats of the drums, the spotlight shining on each and every one of us, wearing the awesome neon-white-and-silver printed skirts and dresses. Instead of shoes we had feet that looked like horse hooves and on our heads rested fabulous braids. Without further ado, enjoy the "backstage" and the stunning collection made by Greete Okas.

Reedel on minu koolis tavalisest erilisem päev, kuna õhtul toimus meie iga-aastane moeshow.

Back to cool

August 29, 2012

School starts next week, kids! Here's a little Dsquared² campaign video to get you in the mood. Or not. Unfortunately real school isn't half as fun or fabulous as it is in "The Substitutes". That short movie is by far this season's coolest ad campaign. The models are so badass, the clothes look amazing, the shoes are even more amazing and designers Dean and Dan are just adorable. Ready for school yet?

"The Substitutes" on ilmselt selle hooaja kõige lahedam reklaamikampaania. Olete kooliks juba valmis?

Peponi

January 31, 2012

On Friday night it was my school's annual fashion show, which this year was themed "Hello, Africa" . I was a model for my friends' collection and we got the second place ! The collection was named  "Peponi", which means Paradise in some African language. We had make up like birds of paradise and plants in our hair. The colours were all so beautiful and calm and overall the collection itself was really peaceful, just as paradise should be.  It was a wonderful night and all I have left to do is show you these amazing pictures and our video !!

Kuldlõige

September 23, 2011

This is the last fashion week post. I hope you're not tired of them yet :)

Last week was really busy, but really fun and absolutely thrilling. I was so incredibly happy to be a part of TFW and to make you guys a part of it too. I'm sorry I wasn't able to take the runway photos myself, because if my seating was even OK(which it most of the time was), then my little camera was just awful. So I decided to use the pictures of professional photographers. I really hope you liked my little fashion week posts. And if you have any comments or suggestions, then please, don't keep them to yourself !

The last show was on Saturday. It was held at a fantastic location. It was a parking house, but it reminded me of a church with the huge glass windows and all the space ! The collection was wonderful. Liisi Eesmaa and Also Järvsoo had done a fantastic job with the dresses and Tanel Veenre had made outrageous headpieces for them. It was really futuristic and fun.

Although, my most favourite show of the whole week was still Embassy of Fashion. That's the only one that really made a huge impression on me, it gave me shivers and was overall amazing.

Floral is the New Black

January 31, 2011

We had a fashion-show in our school and at quite the last minute we decided to take part. So we spent the whole last week sewing. I don't really have good catwalk photos, so you'll have to do with the video and group shot.
I would describe the collections as:
flowery and inspired by spring,
to symbolize mythology, we borrowed the togas from ancient culture,
we wanted to make dresses that would also be wearable afterwards,
we chose to be barefoot , because it is more comfortable, close to nature and just.. original :),
pretty much , less is more.

We got a special nomination for the most unified collection, which is a great thing, since that's what we were trying to do.

Basement party

January 24, 2011

This weekend Getter and Kaisa were at my place and we had a photoshoot in my basement. It was cold and creepy, but the pictures turned out perfect. The theme was kind of the end a party, taking place underground.
I was wearing:
vero moda top, vero moda black maxi skirt from viljandi, thrifted ring
