Jumping to New Year

December 25, 2014

Ho-ho-ho and some belated Christmas wishes from me to you. Although, technically it's also Christmas tomorrow, so there's still plenty to celebrate. Go eat that last piece of cake, watch "Love Actually" just one more time or groove to Buble's sultry swing.
Anyway, I wanted to celebrate here on the blog with a bit of a more special post. For that I turned to my new H&M jumpsuit, which was a hit at my institute's Christmas party. That sassy bondgirlish jumpsuit was so perfect for a night of festive dancing. So after the party, I dusted it off and headed to hotel Pallas in Tartu for a special photoshoot. That painted-all-over 70s looking room was absolutely ideal for that and that view was really one of the best ones you can get in Tartu. Thank you, hotel Pallas staff for letting me spend some time in your cool room.
Merry Christmas to all, from the Bowtie Diary team (that's me and my boyfriend, who I'm ever-so-grateful for taking and editing every single picture)!

Last Sunday. A beautiful late summer's day on the riverbank of Pärnu with the talented Alina Birjuk (check her stuff here) and her camera. I'll shut up and let the pictures do the talking this time.

My first styling job!

July 03, 2014

Maybe you remember me talking about my first styling work I did for Estonian design store Namarie. Well, I have the pictures now and I love how they turned out! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you've already seen some of them, but I decided to share some of my favourites.
I loved the whole experience from start to beginning and I can definitely see myself doing styling work in the future. Of course, our them was amazing too and we all seemed to clique. And had lots of fun, maybe too much even for normal pictures.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little project of mine.

Shot At the Night

The Killers- Shot At the Night

That song by The Killers has been my life soundtrack for the past days. I've been listening to it non-stop, immersed in the butterflies it gives me. It's just that perfect late night song, with the cutest video that could easily be a romantic comedy.
The third set of photos I took with Anete Palmik a few weeks ago also has that nightlife-y vibe. Even more, a morning after vibe. Still wearing the dress and heels from last night, but in that hazy mood of trying to put the whole picture together, remembering the most amazing bits and the coolest songs and in search of a good coffee.

See The Killersi lugu on viimastel päevadel minu elu soundtrack olnud.

Darkness, deepness

October 22, 2013

It doesn't happen every day than an Estonian blogger and young photographer decide to get together and shoot a few pictures, so Anete and I decided to make the most of our time together. The first bit is [here], if you've been spending your time doing something else than reading this blog and haven't seen them yet. My second set of photos taken with the talented Anete Palmik is before your eyes now.
We found this pathway surrounded by big trees full of colourful leaves and equally as many autumnal leaves on the ground. To contrast the overly colourful setting, my outfit was all black- a simple shift dress with a sheer blouse underneath, black heels. That's all.
It all came together with a slight "sixties doll in a horrormovie" vibe, but I like it when pictures turn out quite unexpected and different from what you originally thought.

My model off duty look with Anete Palmik

October 17, 2013

Foals- Spanish Sahara

Last week I met up with the lovely Anete, whom I met last month at the bloggers' event. Maybe you've seen her gorgeous designs or photography all over the interwebs and if you've not, then check her creativity out here.
I had the pleasure of doing an autumnal shoot with the talented girl and here is the first set we did. It's kind of my model-off-duty look (if I actually were one), just throwing on jeans, my new Persunmall double-collared shirt and the leather jacket with a pair of heels before dashing out. I also brought a few other outfits with me, changing in between locations, so stay tuned for more of me, trying to stare deep into the camera with a slight pout, like I'm Cara D or Karmen Pedaru.

Eelmisel nädalal sain Tartus kokku imetoreda Anetega, kellega ma tutvusin eelmisel kuul Oh So Retros blogijate üritusel.

Portraits of a fall day

October 18, 2012

Before I post the photos of my outfit that we took over the weekend, I decided to share these portraits first. I absolutely love the golden feel that fall has. So we decided to go a bit crazy with the leaves and weird faces and these lovely pictures turned out!
By the way.. I started thinking about my favourite season and I really can't name one. I thought that it's spring, because it's my birthday then and everything is pretty and blooming, but fall is equally amazing until it gets all gross and grey. Winter is so cute, when the first snow falls down and the magic of Christmas is unbeatable! And of course summer, because of the warm sun and the sea and the carelessness. In conclusion, I think that naming a favourite season is impossible in my case.. What's your favourite season?

Otsustasin enne järgmist outfit'i postitust jagada hoopis neid portreepilte, mille me eelmisel nädalavahetusel tegime.
Seega, minu lemmikaastaaja leidmine on võimatu.. Mis on teie lemmikud?

Photoshoot: Lazerhearts

August 29, 2011

It's finally time to share the pictures from our photoshoot with you. Almost exactly a week later than they were taken. The theme was all about quirky and unusual glasses. Each of us kind of has our theme, that was revolving around our glasses. The three of us were - cute, nerdy and funky (it sounds like a twisted version of Powerpuff girls.., oh well) .
I've also redesigned my blog to give it a new appearance for fall. Later tonight, I'll also change the header, but it still needs a bit of work. I think my little Bowtie Diary looks much better now, but you'll be the judges of that :)
