I've been over my head in schoolwork lately, crossing things off my to-do list one by one and blogging has taken a backseat. Now I decided to take a break from all the analysing and reading and reward myself with blogging. Not chocolate, tea or a walk, but blogging!

I'm starting with my fashion week outfits! This is from day two and probably my favourite one. I adore this hyper warm and soft sweater from Lindex and knew that I can glam it up somehow for fashion week. It seems that a short (maybe even too short, oops!) skirt, a statement-y necklace and my new Aldo heels did the trick.

Olen viimasel ajal ülepeakaela koolitöösse uppunud ja ükshaaval igasuguseid referaate-analüüse teinud ja blogimiseks pole üldse aega olnud. Nüüd mõtlesin, et teen väikese pausi oma analüüsimisest ja premeerin end blogimisega. Just nii, mitte šokolaadi, tee või jalutuskäigu, aga blogimisega!

Alustan oma moenädala riietustega! See on teise päeva komplekt ja ilmselt mu lemmik. Mulle nii meeldib see imepehme ja soe kõrge kraega Lindexi kampsun ja teadsin, et saan selle kuidagi veidi glämmimaks ja moenädalale sobilikumaks teha. Tundub, et lühike seelik (Võib-olla isegi liiga lühike? Mu isa küsis mind nähes irooniliselt, kas mul jäi kangast puudu...), silmatorkav kaelakee ja mu uued Aldo kontsakingad vist täitsid oma ülesannet.

Kogu moenädala jooksul pildistas mu riietusi üles Anete "maailma kõige armsam inimene" Palmik ja mul ei jätku tänusõnu. Minge visake pilk peale ta Facebooki lehele [siin] ja vaadake ise, milline võlur ta kaamera taga on.

This time I'll be different

These pictures were taken on Sunday, a few hours before I went full on crazy and full on pink. Enjoy the last bits of normal Piia here.

Somehow it was a day of doing something different and we wanted these pictures to be special too. The outfit is really basic, just my favourite jeans, shoes, coat and necklace spiced up with a little belly showing and seethroughness. However, the pictures do seem so much cooler to me, because we played with a bit of a more edgier and editorial look (ugh, it sounds so wannabe, but bare with me), new layout styles and in general, pushed ourselves out of the usual comfort zone. 

Will I be doing it a lot more? You bet! I love how these turned out. But you're still very welcome to let me know your opinion too!

Need pildid on tehtud veel pühapäeval, enne seda kui ma pisut ära pöörasin ja juukseid värvima hakkasin. Ehk siis nautige viimast normaalset Piiat.

Millegipärast oli kogu see päev selline, kus oli kange tahtmine asju teisiti teha ja uutmoodi proovida ja need pildid on ka tavalisest erilisemad. Riietus on tegelikult väga tavaline, lihtsalt mu lemmikasjad koos. Väikest vürtsi annab pluusi alt piiluv naba ja õrnalt läbipaistev kangas. Piltidega tahtsime aga kuidagi rohkem mugavustsoonist välja minna, proovisime teistsuguseid ilmeid, võttenurki ja paigutust. Minu arvates töötab see väga hästi ja kindlasti proovin veel... mitte nii igav olla. Loomulikult on ka kõik teie ideed ja arvamused teretulnud!

Why do I love the theatre

My mom was visiting for the weekend and in addition to thrift shopping, eating lunch and dessert at different cafes and just plain walking around (not in those heels, though), we also went to the theatre. I haven't properly gone to see a play in ages and it really came to me how much I like the activity itself, regardless of the play. Allow me to make a list and explain:

Finally having a reason for dressing up. I wore the outfit below and oh-how-great it was to put on that red lace beauty and wear heels and a bowtie and all that jazz. 

Perfume. The smell of my very first perfume reminds me of going to the theatre and when sitting down to watch the play, I love the cloud of tens of fragrances around me.

Architecture. Theatre buildings usually tend to be works of art and so are the halls, so before the play starts, I'm usually sitting with my head tilted as far back as I can, admiring the ceilings and chandeliers. 

Peoplewatching during intermission. It's one of my favourite things to do and the intermission was practicaly invented for that. 

Going home in a taxi. Yes, I pretend that it's the only acceptable form of public transport. 

Mu ema oli sel nädalavahetusel mul Tartus külas ja lisaks kaltsukates käimisele, erinevates kohvikutes lõunatamisele ja lihtsalt jalutamisele (mitte nendes kingades), käisime me ka teatris. Ma pole tõeliselt kaua korralikult teatris käinud ja mulle tuli taas meelde kui väga mulle see tegevus meeldib, hoolimata etendusest mida ma vaatama lähen. Lubage ma teen väikese nimekirja ja selgitan: 

Põhjus end üles lüüa. Kandsin seda riietust, mida allpool näete ja oi-kui-hea oli jälle seda punast pitskleiti kanda, kõrged kingad jalga panna, lipsuke juustesse lükata ja kogu enesekaunistamise protsess korralikult läbi teha. 

Parfüüm. Minu kõige esimese lõhnaõli lõhn meenutab mulle teatris käimist ja alati, kui olen saalis maha istunud, meeldib mulle nuusutada seda kümnete lõhnade pilve enda ümber.

Arhitektuur. Teatrihooned on tavaliselt kunstiteosed ning enamasti ei jää ka saalid neile alla, seega enne, kui etendus algab, istun ma tavaliselt pea kuklas ja imetlen lage.

Vaheajal inimeste vaatamine. See on üleüldse üks mu lemmiktegevusi ja vaatuste vaheajad on selleks lausa loodud. 

Taksoga koju sõitmine. Jah, ma teesklen, et see on minu jaoks ainus mõeldav ühistranspordiliik.

Aced it!

Lately, the wonderful smell of coming spring has been accompanied by days of sunshine and temperatures already in my comfort zone. Amazing, right! That meant one thing and one thing only. It was time to take my leather jacket out of the closet and into the streets. Oh, how good it felt! With my trusty velvet skirt and the must-have collared shirt adorned with a few cool collar pins, it was the perfect outfit to walk around town and pretend to be completely oblivious about the actual temperature and my freezing fingers. Dear jacket, you're going to have to go back to the closet for a while, but better days are yet to come.

Viimasel ajal on mõnusale kevadelõhnale lisandunud ka päikesepaistet täis päevad ja õhutemperatuur, mida ma suudan juba aktsepteerida. Päris lahe, või mis? See tähendab ainult üht asja - oli aeg kapist välja võtta eelmise aasta suur lemmik, nahktagi. Ja selle selga panemine oli nii hea! Sametseeliku ja kohustusliku pluusiga, mille kraed kaunistasid ägedad ässakesed, oli see täpselt õige riietus linnas ringi jalutamiseks. Samal ajal pisut teeseldes, et ma ei saa aru õigest õhutemperatuurist ja mu sõrmed ei hakka külmuma. Armas jakk, praeguseks pead kappi tagasi minema, aga paremad päevad on tulekul.

The Ramona Flowers - Brighter

Whip out your sunglasses and dust off your shoes because I'm saying hi to spring and so should you! Every morning, I can feel a particular smell in the air - the smell of my favourite season slowly arriving. Today I was brave enough to ditch my winter boots and reached for my brogues instead. Taking them out of the box and into the sunlight made my heart flutter and eyes sparkle. Is it finally warm enough? To go with all the joy in my day I wore sunglasses too, for the first time this year. Walking to town, I couldn't stop smiling. I like all those little things that make my days a bit brighter so much!

Otsige sahtlipõhjast välja enda päikeseprillid ja pühkige tolm kingadelt, sest mina ütlen kevadele ühe suure kõlava "Tere!" ja teie peaksite ka! Igal hommikul tunnen õhus üht kindlat lõhna - minu lemmikaastaja varajase tulemise lõhna. Täna olin juba piisavalt vapper, et hüljata oma talvesaapad ja haarata kingade järele. Nende karbist päikesepaiste kätte välja võtmine oli nii tore, südamesse tuli ärevus ja silmad särasid. Kas tõesti on juba nii soe? Et kogu rõõm ikka täielik oleks, panin esimest korda sel aastal ka päikeseprillid ette. Täiuslik! Linna kõndides ei suutnud ma naeratamata jätta. Kõik need toredad pisiasjad, mis mu päevi rõõmsaks teevad, meeldivad mulle nii väga!

The Dubliner

I'm back from Dublin and ready to bombard you with tons of photos of me, my friends and that beautiful city. During our five-day stay we managed to visit all the important tourist attractions and ooh-and-aah at almost every slightly older building we encountered.

I'm starting with a set of outfit photos from our third day in the Irish capital. I tried to keep my luggage (and my outfits) quite basic and simple during the whole stay - no fuss, just my favourite clothes with me. In very un-touristy manner I wore my heeled boots all the time, but hey, I managed!

The weather was so warm and looking back, it was kind of like a trip to spring. My winter coat was just about too warm, so wearing it unbuttoned was a nice change from the weather that I left behind in Estonia. 

Olen Dublinist tagasi ja valmis pommitama teid piltidega minust, mu sõpradest ja imeilusast linnast. Oma viiepäevase reisi jooksul jõudsime läbi käia kõik peamised turistiatraktsioonid ja õhata iga vähegi vanema maja ilu üle. 

Alustan oma "reportaaži" kolmanda päeva outfiti piltidega. Üritasin enda pagasi ja seega ka oma riietuse kokku panna nii, et kõik oleks võimalikult lihtne ja mugav - kõik minu basicud lemmikriided kaasas. Väga ebaturistilikult kandsin siiski terve sealoleku aja enda kontsaga saapaid, aga hakkama sain!

Ilm oli võrratult soe ja tundus, nagu oleks teinud reisi kevadesse. Mu talvemantel oli täpselt pisut liiga soe selle ilma jaoks ja hõlmade lahti kandmine oli Eesti ilmale mõnusaks vahelduseks.

The Neighbourhood

The Neighbourhood - Staying Up

Full on university life going on these days (read: nothing even remotely interesting happening). My days are starting to become a routine of "eat, sleep, study, repeat" with the backdrop of grey skies and rain. Not the most inspirational of settings, to be honest. 

Yesterday, after taking these pictures, we ended up taking a little walk around my incredibly beautiful neighbourhood, which was the exact amount of battery-reloading I needed. Some fresh air and cute little houses are my break from the routine. Topped it off with a hot cup of tea at home and I was ready to dive head first into the world of economics. 

Viimasel ajal elan täiel rinnal ülikoolielu (ehk ei toimu midagi ligilähedaseltki põnevat). Mu päevad on täielikult sisustatud "söö, maga, õpi, korda" rutiiniga, taustaks hall taevas ja vihm. Ausalt öeldes ei ole see just kõige inspireerivam ja innustavam keskkond. 

Eile pärast nende piltide tegemist tegime väikese jalutuskäigu minu võrratult ilusas naabruskonnas, mis oli täpselt selline akudelaadimine, mida mul vaja oli. Natuke värsket õhku ja armsate majade selts ning kuri rutiiniväsimus hakkas minust tasapidi kaduma. Lõpetuseks kuum tassitäis teed ja olin valmis pea ees majandusteooriasse sukelduma!
