Daft Punk- Get Lucky

These days are my last days as an ordinary high school student, my lessons are officially over on Thursday already. Then begins a period of exams and then... life at high school is over. So I'm taking the most of my last days at school and using them as an excuse to dress like I'm actually Blair Waldorf. With nerdy glasses and a 70s plaid blazer. Channeling her inner Austin Powers with the ruffles on my sleeves.

On a very happy note- spring is here! I can finally wear my coat without buttoning it and my scarf just loosely hanging around my neck. It also means that I can break out all of my wonderful spring shoes. The first ones that got to go out for a walk were these beautiful burdungy loafers. It seems that they will be a perfect replacement for last summer's pair.

Also, I'm so obsessed with Daft Punk's new tune. It's so incredibly funky. And it kind of matches with the 70s Annie Hall vibe going on in this post.

Praegu on möödumas minu viimased päevad tavalise gümnaasiumiõpilasena. Viimased tunnid on juba neljapäeval ja siis algavad eksad. Ja siis.. ongi elu õpilasena läbi. Seega ma kasutan seda aega õigustusena, et kanda riideid, mille järgi võiks järeldada, et ma olen tegelikult Blair Waldorf. Kes kannab prille ja 70ndate stiilis ruudulist pintsakut. Ja ei ole kaotanud sidet oma sisemise Austin Powersiga, kui satsiliste varrukaotste järgi otsustada.

Üleüldse, ma ei saaks vist olla õnnelikum, et kevad on lõpuks kätte jõudnud! Ma saan kanda mantlit hõlmad lahti ja salli ainult kergelt ümber kaela lehvimas. Kevad tähendab ka seda, et ma saan lõpuks kingakarpidest välja võtta oma kaunid kevadkingakesed ja nendega mööda Tallinna tänavaid patseerida. Esimesed, kes asfalti tunda said, olid need võrratud tumepunased loafersid, mis tundub, et suudavad väga edukalt eelmise suve paari asendada. 

Lõpetuseks pean lihtsalt mainima, kui väga mulle Daft Punk'i uus laul meeldib! See on nii funky. Ja sobib vahvalt selle postituse Annie Hall'iliku stiiliga.

Bowtie Diary beauty product of the month : Burberry The Beat

To bring some new air on the blog and some alternation to my posts, I decided to start a new monthly series of posts, featuring all my favourite beauty products. I have to say, I'm no expert when it comes to beauty products and I barely know how to do my own make-up, so bare with me. This is the first post of the series and all feedback is highly appreciated. Also, if you have some great beauty advice, then don't be afraid to share that either!

To kick off the series, I chose one of the essential products for every woman - the perfume. My all-time favourite perfume is The Beat by Burberry. I've had it for several years and even if I decided to use something else, I still turn back to this one. I won't ramble about top notes and base notes, because these are not important. What is important is that I love the scent and the feeling it gives me and all the memories it brings back. So thank you, Burberry, for creating an awesome perfume. 

Do you guys have a signature scent or a favourite perfume?

Alustuseks valisin ühe kõige põhilisema ja olulisema ilutoote iga naise tualettlaual- lõhnaõli. Minu lemmik on juba pikka aega Burberry The Beat. Mul on see vahelduva eduga olnud aastaid ja isegi kui ma otsustan selle vahepeal välja vahetada, ei ole miski muu veel nii heaks osutunud. Ma isegi ei hakka rääkima mingitest põhja- ja tipunootidest, sest need pole absoluutselt olulised. Oluline on, et mulle meeldib selle lõhn, see võrratu tunne, mida see parfüüm minus tekitab ja kõik need mälestused, mis sellega seotud on. Aitäh, Burberry, selle imelise lõhna eest!

A decade in the dark

This week has been quite hectic. We have a competition at school, where you basically have to copy a singer/song. Our group has always taken part in it. As always, we chose a singer that's not very famous and known, so it would be difficult to compare us with her. But our dance gets more complicated every year, so I've spent most of my free time on dancing . But it's awesome, I promise. ( It's on Friday, and I'll definitely post the video here too ).
These pictures were taken last Saturday, also during our rehearsal. It was about three o'clock and it was getting dark outside. It's like living in the polar night or something, because the weather is so gloomy and dark. As you can see, it's no inspiration for dressing in bright colours.
The coat on the pictures is the fabulous thing I got from Tartu. I've been wearing it ever since and it's perfect for our weather right now, not too cold, not too warm. And the parka'ish shape is perfection .
Tonight I'm going to the ballett with Getter and Kaisa, woohoo !

steps of the Met

Today is Roosi's birthday, so after school, we had a cup of coffee and since the weather was perfect, decided to drink it on the stairs at Liberty square, the "stairs of the Met" in Tallinn . Obviously it was the perfect people-watching spot. Next to us was a nice group of tourists from Spain, and the picture of the three of us is taken by Juan, a nice spanish guy :) Later, he also took a picture of us with his camera, said it is just for him.. and pretended to have lost his group , luckily we could show him the right way.

I'm so happy about my trench, I love the colour and it fits just perfectly ! I was planning to wear it with my new flats tomorrow, but then.... In the evening, I went on a little shopping tour with my mom. I had planned to buy myself a pair of totally unpractical, but comfortable shoes( kind of like my golden sandals, seen here) . Just when we were slowly leaving the shop , I spotted it. A cape, a cape, a cape, a cape . No second thoughts, it's mine now :)

I wish I had summer, Italy , a Vespa and the sixites

 I am such a lazy blogger, so I suggest you follow me on Twitter, it seems that I post much more stuff in there. But I'll try to keep up with blogging too, I promise.
Our only plan was to do a lot of thrift shopping and I can say that I succeeded . I got 3 skirts, 2 tops and tights. A black maxi skirt, black short skirt, brown almost-maxi skirt with buttons, one-shoulder  floral summer top, navy shirt with golden buttons and white tights with little birdies on the side. I am sure, that you'll see most of the thing on this blog sooner or later, be patient :) I don't want to take pictures of them on a hanger, because that is so plain..

Dinner at Zakzak.I had smoked salmon pasta with veggies, Getter had smoked garlic soup. Both- delicious !

Trying to enjoy the last bits of beautiful autumn. There's something up with Getter's camera, and it leaves all the edges blurry. Sorry for that.

We saw this old fountain and it was so creepy. It looked so deserted and spooky. We both have very lively imagination and could very well imagine someones dead body in there. Very suitable for Halloween :)

Burberry mania

Whenever I see something in the shops with a Burberry print on it, I feel that I need to have it . My friends would say that it's a bit maniacal. But I feel that there is something so classic, timeless and mystical about the Burberry print. I can't get enough of it :)
I have a Burberry scarf that I got from a thrift store for 1EEK and I wear it quite a lot. I also have skirt that I need to make shorter to wear it. Probably the best present for me would be a Burberry plaid trench. I even have a Burberry perfume. The Beat is without a doubt one of the best there have ever been.

And Burberry's collections from the latest fashion weeks have also been great. That's not the classic, but it is still cool. Christopher Bailey has done a really really great job. My fav is definitely the spring 2010 collection. The skirts are great. Love the pastels, the materials and the cuts.

Alati kui ma näen poes midagi Burberry mustriga ,tunnen , et pean selle ära ostma. Mu sõbrad ütleksid, et see on maniakaalne. Aga minu arust on Burberry mustri juures midagi klassikalist , ajatut ja maagilist. Ma ei saa sellest küllalt.
Mul on Burberry sall, mille ma sain kaltsukast 1 krooni eest ja ma kannan seda päris tihti. Mul on veel seelik, mille ma pean lühemaks tegema, et seda kanda. Ilmselt oleks parim kingitus mulle Burberry mustriga trench.Mul on isegi Burberry lõhn. The Beat on ilma kahtluseta üks parimaid lõhnu, mis kunagi on tehtud.
Ja Burberry kollektsioonid viimastelt Moenädalatelt on ka imelised olnud. Need pole klassikalised, aga ikkagi vinged.Christopher Bailey on teinud suurepärast tööd. Mu lemmik on kindlasti kevad 2010 kollektsioon. Seelikud on lahedad. Ma armastan neid pastelseid värve, materiale ja lõikeid.
